Soils in floodplains and riparian zones provide important ecosystem functions services. These ecosystems belong to the most threatened worldwide. Therefore, management of has changed from river control restoration rivers floodplains. However, activities can also negatively impact soils these areas. Thus, a detailed knowledge is needed prevent detrimental soil changes. The aim this review therefore assess kind extent information used research on zones. This article based quantitative literature search. Soil 100 articles was collected. properties were divided into physical, chemical, biological, classification. Some like classification 97 articles, but often there no complete description only single parameters are described. Physical mentioned 76 chemical 56 biological 21 provided 32 articles. It recommended integrate at least minimum data set all conducted comprises types, coarse fragments, texture structure soil, bulk density, pH, organic matter, water content, rooting depth, calcium carbonate content. Additionally, nutrient and/or pollution status might be useful parameter.

However, the effect of land-use change on the diversity of soils that support the terrestrial biological system has rarely been studied. Here, we report the first effort to assess the impact of land-use change on soil diversity for the ...
